Homenagem à Marta Hanecker

Estimado(a) compañero(a),

El 3 de diciembre próximo, el Centro Internacional Miranda ha decidido hacer un homenaje a Marta Harnecker por sus escritos, su incasable militancia y en ocasión de que este año, 2009, se cumplen 40 años de su primer libro, “Los conceptos elementales del materialismo histórico”.

Quisiéramos contar con tu presencia en dicha actividad porque sabemos que ella siente un especial aprecio por ti. No obstante, conscientes de que podría ser muy difícil para ti viajar a Venezuela, queremos solicitarte especialmente que aportes con un breve trabajo escrito (de no más de 500 palabras) sobre lo que ha significado para ti, tu organización o tu país el trabajo de Marta. Tu contribución será recopilada y publicada en un pequeño libro, por tal razón te solicitamos, si está a tu alcance, nos envies tu contribución individual o colectiva antes del 30 de octubre, para así difundirla en el marco del evento central de homenaje que se realizará en el Teatro Teresa Carreño el día 3 de diciembre.

The Centro Internacional Miranda has decided to pay homage to Marta Harnecker for her writings, her tireless activism and to celebrate the fact that 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of her first book "The elementary concepts of historical materialism."

We would like to count on your presence for the event that will be held on December 3, because we know she thinks fondly of you. Nevertheless, conscious of the fact that it might be too hard to travel to Venezuela, we would like to especially request from you a short written piece (no more than 500 words) regarding the significance of Marta's work for you, your organisation or your country. Your contribution will be collated with the rest and published in a small book, which is the reason why we ask that you send us your individual or collective contribution before October 30, in order to have the book ready to give out on the night of the central event which will be held in the Teresa Carreño Theatre on December 3.
